What style of leadership is the most effective in leading an organization? Is it important to be well-liked, or are results all that matter? Cite examples that support your conclusions. Respond to the observations of at least two of your peers for this post.

The transformational leadership style is most effective in leading an organization which focuses on communication and builds the environment for innovation, rational thinking and growth of an individual. Both being liked and results do matter for the welfare of the organization. Just focusing on results hamper the personal connect with people. At the same time, focusing solely on being liked may hamper efficiency as people do not care of end goal. So, it is crucial to balance both the aspects.

Example: I work as Operations Manager and have 10 direct subordinates. In order to maintain healthy balance of results and personal connect, I organize outdoor meetings and team lunch so that there is informal connect. At the same time, we discuss about progress and results on regular basis to ensure that we are on track. I ensure direct communication and feedback for transparency.
