Based on your experience dealing with people from different backgrounds, ages, mindset, and other diversity attributes, explain the benefits and challenges you have encountered as a result of diversity. As a manager, would you prefer working with a diverse group of employees? Why or why not?

Answer-

The benefits that I have encountered as a result of diversity are that I have developed creativity in myself. I have learnt a lot from different people and have learnt to adapt with different people in changing environment. I have also learnt how to manage different people.

The challenges that I have encountered as a result of diversity are that there was some point of conflict between me and diverse people who did not agree and I also not agreed with their point of view. There were situations where these people intervened unnecessarily in my work to offer some suggestions.

I think as a manager I would prefer working with a diverse group of employees because diverse employees teach a lot. We get to know about the different categories of people and how they would be beneficial or harmful to us. We come to know their unique qualities which would be beneficial to us in the long run.
