There are many dominant reasons for ABB to enter international markets:-

1) Acquisition of many potential companies all around the world. For example PO and LGR. It will help ABB to create mark in international market.

2) ABB is a company which has good amount of goodwill and experience in many local markets, so it becomes a good move to enter international market because of this goodwill.

3) There is a huge need of investment in the new markets which can help ABB to explore many of the potential opportunities.
