Answer #1

Yes, RACE is a PR process. The RACE model helps to develop strategic plans to effectively implement PR plan. The different steps in RACE model are-

- R- Research is essential first step to determine the type of the campaigning and to develop the content accordingly. For example, news paper content is different than social media content.

- Action planning- the strategic plan is developed based on the information obtained from the step one. This involves the type of information and the best way to communicate to the target audience.

- Communication- this is actually the content development in the strategic plan to be effective. This involves media contacts that help in distributing the content effectively.

- Evaluation- In this step, the results of the PR campaign is measured to evaluate its effectiveness. ROI (Return on Investment) to evaluate the results of the PR campaign.

Thus, it is pertinent to note that each step described above in the RACE model is essential and interdependent for the success of a PR campaign. Each step is equally important because each step has critical factors that contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of a successful PR campaign.
