I don't think users are really concerned about privacy issues. The reason being is the most of the users don't even read the privacy rules and guidelines and give permissions to all the social media platforms and various applications to access their data without checking what all they are accessing. In many cases, they don't even check whether the application is verified and safe to use or not? We have witnessed cases of data leak in past, but it hasn't affected the membership of social media platforms like Facebook and other applications. And, that is why It can be said that it is mainly a small set of privacy activists who are raising concerns. However, it because of their efforts that people are getting aware of such privacy concerns, which is a good thing.
