Privacy is the ability of an individual or group to seclude themselves or information about themselves, and thereby selectively expressing themselves.

The major threat to privacy is the raise of immoral activities by hackers and crackers which break into computer systems. This coincides with the shift in ethical values and the emergence of the cyberpunk culture with the motto of "information needed to be free".

Disadvantages of privacy  includes immoral activities like theft of personal information, spamming, and virus threats.

There arises serious legal as well as ethical questions since it can protect criminals.
