The answer may differ from person to person. But the overall concept of Rational Choice Paradigm Model is the same.

EXPLANATION:

The Paradigm Model for Rational Choice lets us take sound decisions. Based on the analysis of the problem, the facts of the problem and also using the step-by - step method to arrive at a decision, this managers or the individuals using it will take decisions. In the case in question, because you asked for the decision to choose the course, the following steps have been taken

  1. Defining the problem - Here which means to understanding the idea of taking up the course, why are you ready to take up this course (example OM)
  2. Establishing the criteria - Which means to set up a line for taking up the courses such as the filed or the subject (main group)
  3. Considering Alternatives - By choosing the available alternatives in the subject selected. For example if you have selected to study in the business field, there are many subjects relating to business such as accountancy, operations management etc. And there are many colleges or universities also and this process also includes this activity.
  4. Identifying - Identifying the best suitable alternative. In this case the best suitable alternative would be the course you've opted for. For example Operations Management, since you have defined your problem in the first stage. And also choosing the best available college for you feasibility.
  5. Developing and implementing the action plan - After choosing and identifying the best alternative of the course now it's turn to select the college get the admission and joining into the course.
  6. Evaluating and monitoring the solution - Which means nothing but after getting into the course evaluating your performance in the course to ensure whether you're getting good enough grades in you chosen course.

And the key advantage of this model is that, unlike other models, it helps you to consider several alternatives before making an actual decision and even after selecting the decision it also encourages us to assess the selected decision by reviewing our output of the selected decision. I think these two elements of this model are important benefits.

I. Rational Actor Approach to Problem Solving (10 pts)                                                    Early in the semester we reviewed a simple three question approach to diagnosing problems based on the economic perspective of rational actors (recorded video lecture). Answer/diagnose the following questions using this three question framework for the “Rational Actor Paradigm”. As a reminder, the three questions were: Who is making the (bad) decision? [i.e. should we/they let someone else decide] Does the decision maker have enough or the right information to make...
