No, I don't think a leader should be with a fixed mindset and possess a unique style of leadership in all situation. Such leaders are not the good leaders to work with and also not good for the organizational point of view.
A leader should change its style of working depend upon the situation, kind of assignment, resources, and manpower a leader manages etc. Full frame leadership is the requirement
For example: A micromanager kind of leader will destroy a self managed efficient team if he don't change its attitude of work while working with the team
