what are the pros and cons that people face when it comes to Deviant place Theory in victimization
The Deviant place theory state that crime doesn’t happen randomly but it occurs most of the time due to the lifestyle of an individual and generally this happen mostly when individual live in the crime prone areas and gets exposed to criminal behaviors. Thus, the cons are that people live in socially disorganized crime prone regions which are heavily inhabited and having highly transient localities. They live with motivated offenders or move along. The pros could be that this theory does not influence people by actively or passively encouraging criminal activities but gets affected as a result of being in “deviant” places.
