ChemLee Manufacturing employs 300 employees. however , the labor turnover rate experienced by ChemLee manufacturing has escalated substantially over the years. This has compromised ChemLee's ability to ensure efficient service delivery to its clients. As a consultant I have been ask to investigate the causes for labor turnover for ChemLee Manufacturing. Develop suitable strategies and resolutions for ChemLee manufacturing.

Title of research: “An investigation and analysis of the high labour turnover rate at ChemLee Manufacturing”

The above research topic has been taken with the purpose of findings the reasons of high labour turnover rate at ChemLee manufacturing using a formal and a systematic research process which is generally termed as investigation. Analysis of the various factors that leads to the labour turnover would be required to be carried out to arrive at the result of the study.

Answer 2:

Steps of the research process:

Step 1: defining the problem statement i.e. the title of the research as it gives the specific and a clear understanding of the issues being faced by the organisation.

Step 2: analysing the previous situation of ChemLee manufacturing in terms of the labour turnover and studying the present situation of the company.

Step 3: Studying the labour turnover rate of the companies doing the similar business and analysing the reason behind the reason for their labour turnover rate.

Step 4: Conducting the literature review to identify the similar kind of case in the research journals, magazines, cases of the company in the company books and the studying and finding the ways in which they have overcome the high labour turnover rate.

Step 5: Conducting a primary survey of the labour, employees and the management of ChemLee manufacturing through a detailed and mandatory questionnaire and focused group interviews.

Step 6: converting the data obtained through the questionnaire into the meaningful information using an appropriate tool of statistics for the management of ChemLee manufacturing so that they can take the appropriate decision.

Step7: providing suggestions and recommendations to the management of ChemLee manufacturing for reducing the labour turnover rate.

Step 8: giving the concluding remark for the research study.

Answer 3:

A research paradigm is a research model used for conducting the research by the researcher. There are two different types of research paradigm viz. Positivist paradigm and interpretivist paradigm. In positivist paradigm, researcher relies most on the previous research results and arrives at the conclusion using the previous study without giving importance to the current situation. In interpretivist paradigm, researcher takes into consideration the situation of the circumstances and do not completely rely on the previous results obtained for the similar kind of problem.

In this research study, we will be using Interpretivist paradigm for the research study as the study of ChemLee manufacturing is based on the human behaviour which changes according to the situation of surroundings and we cannot generalise the situation to the previously generated results.

Answer 4:

Research strategy can be divided into two subcategories on the basis of the type of data collected from the respondent viz. qualitative research strategy and the quantitative research strategy.

The most suitable research strategy for our study is a qualitative research strategy which helps in analysing the human behaviour which is the most important aspect for the study of the problem of ChemLee manufacturing. Qualitative research strategy involves the collection of the data including the views of the respondents through a descriptive questionnaire and the focused group interview involving open ended questions.
