Individuals must have more control over their own personal data, therefore to enhance and improve the individual right's, Data Protection Act 1998 is formed. According to the act, Individual must be notified regarding use of information present in the data processing activities usually provided in the Privacy Statement of the company. Before processing data, confirmation from the individual must be granted.

Trade-offs :

Here, trade offs such as losing control over own individual data is involved as permission to process the data is given by the individual. It limits the control over the data.

Property rights :

Property right solution, The right to transfer the data to others and enforced data protection rights are best solution for humanity as it protects the data from processing without the consent and misuse of it.
