It helps in lending direction, to remain focused, assists in formulating strategies, prevents people from falling into the activity trap and develops shared purpose within the Organization. In this regard, a clear and concise expression of what an organization does, is needed to avoid any ambiguity, besides addressing for whom it does it and the basic goods and services, the Organization indulges in and its values.
