Answer #1

The easiest form of difference between the two terms can be understood through their actual definitions from which we can say that Search: is to carefully examine something(restricted to the topmost layer of it) while research can be described as the systematic inquiry or investigation which makes use of the factors such as discovery, study, and examination in order to create a deeper understanding of the purpose of a particular thing.

This represents what we call the textbook definition for the topic, we can say that in order to represent it in the form of an example we can take the following scenario.

Imagine you are a treasure hunter, you are looking to find gold and have the information that there is gold in the nearby mines. Now, you have two options, first, you can go and look for the gold everywhere you possibly can, This would be represented as “Searching for gold” because you are working with the knowledge that represents the topmost level of the information. For the second approach, we can say that we examine the structure of the mines, past reports of any other treasure hunter finding gold there, the possibility of areas having the required concentration of what we call interest areas as well as formulating where the best possible spots where there is a higher possibility of gold, this approach essentially represents “Researching for gold” and holds a higher value of the given case.
