Some of the unreasonable expectations in Amazon based on various
news articles are:
According to an article by Intelligent living, one of the
unreasonable expectations placed on workers is productivity quotas
which are to pack hundreds of boxes within an hour.
With AI monitoring the productivity and efficiency of
employees, it is not reasonable to think of the workers as machines
in measuring their productivity that way.
According to another article by the street, the workers in
fulfillment centers were only given 15-minute breaks while working
a 10-hour shift which is again not a reasonable time to recharge
and be efficient.
The overall requirement of fulfillment centers according to The
Street, was that the number of items pushed each day was about
600,000 on normal days and a million on holidays. These are
unreasonable expectations from workers in
warehouses.
