Answer #1

There are mainly two purposes of Taguchi Methods

1:- It uses statistical methods which are related to the variance analysis in order to identify the critical design factors which can result in the degrading of product performance

2:- It is used for analyzing the design effectiveness, degradation level in the design parameter from the values of the target.

The difference between DOE (Design of Experiment) and Taguchi Methods:-

Taguchi Methods can be seen as the structured method in order to find out the best combination of different inputs for the production of product or service.

On the other hand, DOE can be seen as an important method of product and process designing. This is a method for qualitative identification of various inputs and parameters so that a high quality product or service can be developed.
