The differing organizational structures are to accommodate the differing organizational objectives even though they are present in the same industry. The different company mission and vision set organizations to have a differing organizational structure that suits their operating style and business style. Two best examples to showcase the difference is of Ford and Toyota. The organizational structure of Ford is vertical, while Toyota has a divisional organizational structure although they both lie in the automobile industry. It is important to mention that the organizational structure of Ford is more geared towards controlling regional operations. Whereas, the organizational structure of Toyota is more geared towards global market operations.
