Las Vegas, Nevada
· Did cancer deaths in your chosen state increase or decrease from year to year between 1999 and 2005?
Assuming the cancer deaths are directly related to the cancer affecting rate, then as per the Centers of Disease Control and prevention website, the US Cancer statistics states that for all invasive cancer sites combined, in the year 1999, the count was 7,495 out of the population of 1,934,718 with 95% Confidence interval, i.e. 0.39% of the population was cancer affected; while that in 2005, count was 10,366 out of the Population of 2,412,301, with the same confidence level i.e. 0.43% of the population was cancer affected. In this regard, as the cancer rate affecting people in Nevada have increased from 1995 to 2005, the deaths may have accordingly risen as well.
