Ans. Factors that affect the health of a
community are:
- Geography - Some communities are more prone to
diseases due to their geographic location. Communities located in
swampy areas find it difficult to tackle diseases, especially in
rainy season.
- Community size - A densely populated or an
overpopulated community can be easily attached by communicable
diseases. Eg., Corona Pandemic, Flu, Influenza, etc.
- Industrial Development - Communities that are
industrially developed are more likely to be affected by numerous
diseases due to the toxic waste that these industries discharge.
These wastes are released in the water and environment and can be a
reason for contagious diseases.
- Environment - A clean environment is very
important for a community to thrive. This minimizes the occurrence
and transmission of diseases, unlike a dirty environment, that
easily leads to the outbreak of diseases.
