Amazon is looking for developing its second HQ in the world. There are various locations like Chicago, Miami, Dallas, Boston, Atlanta, etc.

The company has chosen the cities based on the following criteria:

  • The city must be a metropolitan area with an occupancy of more than 1 million
  • Communities with celebrate creativity
  • Stable as well as business friendly environment
  • Potential to attract technical talent

Miami:

  • Advantage: The purchasing power of community is good and high tourism may also facilitate company’s operations as well as brand value
  • Disadvantage: The location lacks the availability of technical talent

Chicago:

  • Advantage: Central location as well as the widespread connectivity of the place with others
  • Disadvantage: The communities lack creativity and are quite old school
