Answer #1

The potential impact of deteriorating labour relations are-

Poor production -

When there are poor and deteriorating labor relations between labor and management then the most impacted part is production. Labor are the actual people who do the production work in the facility. if they feel that management is not being fair and taking advantage of them then they lower thier performance which either cause lower production rate or no production at all.

Increase chance of strike-

If labors have valid and legal reason that management involved unfair labor practice and relations between them are not good anymore than it raises the chance of strike.

Lower profit-

When production is low, performance of labor is down then products will be late to market and customers wills switch to another company or competitors. This will lower sale and profit of Fast Co company.

Increase chances of worker turnover-

In light of deteriorating labour relations, Many workers either lose thier job by layoff or leave the company voluntarily. This is bad thing for the company as it increases the worker turnover rate and cost to business.

Some other impacts could be-

Violation of company's policies, increase chances of machine and equipment damage, legal issues/lawsuit, bad reputation of company etc.

Some recommendations to take to prevent further relationship deterioration-

Fair management practices-

Labor relations can be better if management start to take fair practices in thier management. for example- provide fair wages to workers, have safe and sound working environment, pay overtime etc.

Focus on career development-

Organization which provide training and career development programs to its workers tend to have good relationship. Workers retain in such companies for very long years. This also reduce chances of employee/worker turnover.

Motivation-

Motivation is very important for workers. Motivation helps management to improve performance of labor and encourage them to reach thier potential. for example- provide incentive or bonus on producing more units in Fast Co, Offer award for worker of the month, respect and take feedback from labaors or union leader etc.
