Of the many ideas of Plato , platonism which is the practice of acceting situations as they are or accepting a relation as it is and being prepared to deal with any changes that might occur in the future depending on the situation. This idea inspired many people who changed the way they perceive their life and the way they expect their relationships to be. People started thinking in a broad manner and giving others their freedom to do what they want and accept any consequences. Hence this idea is the most influenctial one of Plato.
