Answer #1

There were two main reasons which motivated colonists to settle inJamestown, Plymouth, Rhode Island or Philadelphia, the first is to participate in the opportunity for trading in a new world, because, in Europe the trade opportunities were limited, so colonists considered settling in areas where they could enjoy more exchange of goods. And another reason was to enjoy the freedom of religion. This could be one of the biggest freedom to keep their religious beliefs and norms and follow their practices without any interventions.
