Your large firm is about to change to a customer-centered organization structure, in which employees who have rarely had customer contact will not likely influence customer satisfaction and retention. As part of the transition, your boss wants an accurate evaluation of the morale of the firm's large number of computer technicians. What type of sample would you draw if it was to be an unrestricted sample? In addition, create five survey questions based on this scenario. This is in Research & Analysis.
I would go in for a random sampling method . Here the method used is objective where the reactions of the organizations large number of computer technicians are required. A random sample of one in a four population of computer technicians will fit the need of the data collection and the sampling method. This random sampling would not be based on any predetermined standards but would only look at 1 out of 4 computer technicians irrespective of any demarcation. This will help the organization to understand the feel of the change and will give a good representative idea of what the shift would mean and how it would affect the organizational morale. Since this is not influenced by the judgment of the selector it would give good statical input for the change.
