A work plan is created before a project manager estimates the size and schedule of the project.
False
The scheduling of the Project is part of the Project Scheduling task while that of deciding the size of the project, is part of the ‘Project initiation and Planning phase’. A work plan in Project management does not replace the project files that details each of the tasks involved in the entire project but it is rather created with the intention of recording the important tasks that gives the Project manager an overall idea about the scheduling of the project activities and the estimated time for completion of the same. The significant project records and completion of the project as per the schedule are hence taken care of, in a work plan whereas the scheduling and sizing of the Project is not part of a work plan.
