Answer #1

The main difference between undergraduate research and graduate research is the amount of research required. Graduate students are usually required to research deeper into a topic than undergraduate students. Undergraduate research usually consists of little side projects that the professor assigned to them. Undergraduate research is basically busy work for students so that the professor can grade his or her grammar, sentence structure, etc. Undergraduates are not expected to know very much within their field just yet. So every paper they research for is just the tip of the iceberg. When you are a graduate student you are expected to know more information about your field of study. You are expected to research deeper into the topic, provide statistical evidence to back up your claims and to actually contribute to the topic.

Undergraduate and Graduate studies differs in many ways. Undergraduate studies focus more on developing research, gaining maturity and limited experience. When we look at the research factors undergraduates need more guidance than graduate students. For example, in undergraduate studies it taught us how to become researchers. They taught us the fundamentals of research and the different aspects. This allowed us to become more confident in our work.
