In my opinion or in my group's opinion so to say, this merger should not take place. As per the specifications of the Mega Merger Monsanto-Syngenta will attain a huge chunk of market share. This chunk is big enough to have a monopoly in the market and turn the market as they wish to. This merger could help them indulge in foul play and as expected they might bring the prices so low in the market that other competitors won't be able to survive.

In the long run this would be dangerous for consumers. After eliminating the competitors Monsanto-Syngenta will eventually raise the prices so high that the backs of consumers would be broken to afford it.

Legally this is very much possible, but considering the practical aspects of this merger, it should never happen or else the whole market will crumble.
