I believe offering minimum wages to employees may not even guarantee that the employers would be giving a fair treatment to the employees and not exploiting their skills. I would feel special, if my pay has some direct relevance with my performance. Besides, the working hours should be comfortable for me. If it is flexible in nature, I shall feel more special. Moreover, in terms of work load, the pressure should not be unexplainable. Treating employees in a respectful manner in this regard, shall also be appreciable. The work place gives me a comfortable area to sit and work from, that shall also help me feel special. Besides, the recreation time and facilities within the workplace is must so that I am granted reasonable time to rejuvenate myself and get back to work.
Two significant effect on me choosing between the company v/s the competitor would be the Hygiene factors such as good pay and working conditions; and also the Time factors like the time I need to dedicate at work and the amount of time I can take as a break to be refreshed and be back to action.
For example, my Company offers me a better salary package than the competitors in the industry, besides offering various other facilities to help me break the boredom at work place such as Gym, Swimming pool, cafeteria, Play zone, etc., within the campus.
