The major laws and related regulations that affect equal employment opportunity include Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Executive Order 11246, Executive Order 11478, the Equal Pay Act of 1963, the Age Discrimination and Employment Act (ADEA), the Vocational Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Act of 1974, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1979, the Civil Rights Act of 1991, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act (2008), and the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993.

As per my observations and my view based on the equal employement opportunity in the workplace it really plays a major key role. Though many laws and regulations have come up but still the discrimination is going on with so many issues like caste differences gender differrences reservations and many more.

According to the Acts given now let me give you my opinion on the ACTs accordingly.

TITLE VII OF THE CIVIL RIGHT ACT OF 1964: This law itself states that if in any of the employee in an organistion is treated difffently like in the ways of religion or individual race, like classification of employees are totally uanlawfull practice to the employer. Also in this law the discrimination is prohibited in employment actions. So it commonly said about that non discrimination in the workplace it is better to follow it.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11246: Even this law states bit similar to the above law as said that there should not be there any discrimination among the employees like religion, race and also the main aspect is in this law even the minorities participation is important in the workplace and women participation is also important ensuring that they are also employed irrespective of gender, race religion, origin ect.,

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11478: Here i can tell you my opinion in simple words like its an extend to the above stated laws and also included few more subsections in this like in order to promote the economy in the federal government by prohibiting the discrimination among the employees listed below

1. sexual orientation program/or gender identity.

2. Implementing the orientation program on nation origin ect

EQUAL PAY ACT OF 1963: This law states the sex based discrimination among the men and women who work under the same stage for example they perform same kind of job which is required by the same skills and talent in the smiliar working conditions. so the main reson to implement this law is to avoid the follwing reasons

1. Discrimination among the men and women employees.

2. Disputes or disturbances among them.

3. living standards of the empployees.

AGE DISCRIMINATION AND EMPLOYMENT ACT : In the sub title it self we can say that it is related about the employees who is aged more than 40 years in the employment. It is all about they need to give opportunity to all age groups without the discrimination in hiring process and opportunities.

THE VOCATIONAL REHABILITAION ACT OF 1973: This act has be initiated in order to provide services to the completely handicaped employees and also to give special training programs to them. And also in order to promote the employment opportunities in public and private sectors for handicapids and also providing them innovative methods in rehabilation services to each handicaped indiviual with special demonstrations.

THE VIETNAM ERA VETERANS READJUSTMENT ACT 1974: This law prohibits the discrimination of veterans who are returning from the active services and trying for the another employment. Many of them have been given they services for us even during the war and among them even men and women both the gender who my have been bravely serverd our country so specially this act sates that discrmination among them is totally disagreed.

THE PREGNENCY DISCRIMINATION ACT OF 1973: It is a law says that the discrimination of employee when pregnent of medical conditions and child birth. so it is illegal to fire or disagree an pregnent women in the employment or refuse to hire. It is said that pregnent women should not be treated differently during the childbirth.

THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT OF 1991: According to me this act purpose is to give solutions for the discrimination and illegal harresment of the employees and also based on this civil rights the suffered employee get enough safeguard or enocuragement form discriminatary issues.

THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT OF 1990: This act prohibits the discrimination of any differences show among the individuals not only in between the employees or individual among them like in even other sectors like education institute or in public place and jobs. The main purppose of this law is to tell that all disable are equal and have same rights and opportunities like others.

THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITY ACT OF 2008: The main theme of this act is to avoid the discrimination give them a strong confidence and also provide them all protections available in this rights.

THE FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE ACT OF 1993: This act states that to provide the employee with all the medical allowances and with including the unpaid leaves with job protection. This act is maily to designed to help employees to balnace the worl and also the family responsibilities.

So these are the few briefly above stated of my understanding of laws.
