A culture is factor that have an influence on how people think and behave. Culture is mainly based on the differences and similarities between individualistic cultures and collectivist cultures.

Individualistic Culture:-

It is the culture which stress the needs of the individual over the needs of the individual over the needs of the group as a whole. An individualist is motivated by Personal rewards and benefits. Individualists set their personal goals and objectives.

Characteristics of Individualists:-

1.) They consider dependency as a shameful or embarrassing.

2.) They are self-reliant.

3.) Independence is valued more.

Collectivist Culture:-

In this culture, the values are interdependence. The people are more connected or attached to others. This culture stresses more on the need and goal of the group as whole.

Characteristics of Collectivistic Culture:-

1.) Working in group and supporting others is important.

2.) The main focus is on common goals than individual targets.

Also, The culture is further divided in two groups i.e. Tight and Loose Culture. According to the research, some groups have much stronger norms than others; they are considered as Tight. Whereas others have much weaker norms; they are termed as weaker norms. Almost All cultures have areas in which they are tight and loose, but it varies in degree. The Tight Culture is the one which have strong social norms and little tolerance for the deviance. And, in Loose Culture the weak social norms are highly permissible.
