This is an article by Deloitte on block chain and the article is titled as Using Blockchain to support transparency and innovation in supply chain process.

The summary of the article is that Blockchain provides a digital alternative which can be used to keep records and maintain transaction details in an immutable fashion such that the history of the product can be tracked throughout its life cycle. It's much more efficient and tamper proof.
