I think that a positive message is important because it clear the way for positive feedback from your reader or recipient. The positive message conveys information with clarity which determines the way or direction your message is heading. Being able to avoid negative words such as you must, or you should sound like you being forceful and can send the wrong message to the recipient. However, Conveying the right tone or words using words such as we can is more appealing to readers. According to the textbook, you should think of the feeling, fears, and need of your readers so that your message will be well accepted. (p. 113). When I am communicating professionally, I try my best to keep the message simple, and always put myself in the person's shoes so that I can structure the message politely and in the right tone. My final portfolio I will convey details such as my beliefs, skills, qualification, and my experience which will illustrate my abilities to prospective employers.

The purpose of the advertisement on the billboard is to catch a person's attention. This advertisement will also create a memorable impression on the intended audience about the product being sold. The intended audience is for people that are interested in weight loss. The information is not clear because you are not seeing the name of the product being promoted. This will benefit the intended audience because the information provided on the billboard will grab the attention and customers that are interested in the product can visit the website provided. I think are you ready for beach body is a bit off and does not appeal much to they could use something different that would appeal to people that want to lose weight. Someone wearing exercising clothing would appeal to me much better than a sex model in a swimsuit. Billboards are always placed on roadsides in cities or on highways to display what they are trying to promote. I think it was the right context.

Answer #1

We can agree upon the impact of the positive messages while communicating as the words used in the message are important. This is why the concept of effective feedback is applied even when you want to convey criticism. A person changes or evaluates himself/herself based on the way the message is received and hence there must be cautiousness in using the right words and being positive. Empathy is the right approach here. However, when communicating with employers, the attitude plays a vital role than the information and it has to be coupled with the achievements and experience.

Since Billboards are used to garner attention, the message must be meaningful otherwise the attention is useless. For example, any product that uses this kind of advertising has to realize that people always look at billboards to see something interesting and if this resonates with the audience then they'll definitely be interested in the product. Therefore, the kind of appeal that companies use must be clear and related to the product instead of sex appeal or other marketing tactics. Customers or individuals will get distracted by the message if not used well.
