Cleveland Reality and Housing Investment Company was founded jointly by Blue and prominence black Clevelanders such as J. Walter wills and Fleming in the year 1917. The main purpose of this company is to alleviate the housing shortage confronting the blacks. Growing number of black migrants who have arrived in Cleveland after world war require shelter and suitable employment and to give them this opportunity, company has worked a lot. The company has acquired almost every apartment and building on East 40th street by the end of 1918 to give shelter to blacks. The controversial case involved with the company is the case of Blue, Welcome T and Sr. who are prominent leaders and realtors.
