Daoism and Confucianism are often presented as representing opposite approaches to the Chinese worldview. What central/fundamental aspects of Daoism stand in direct contrast, or contradict, those that are central/fundamental to Confucianism? Is there anything that is common to both?

Confucianism emphasizes more on the social institutions and it includes state, community, school and family. It is important to mention that these social institutions are vital for moral excellence, human flourishing. Whereas, Daoism focuses on nature, human experience that are spontaneous and natural. It even rejects the China's advanced morality, learning and culture.

Both the Confucianism and Daoism share the similar beliefs of universe, society, and man.
