It is related to maintaining the relationship with the suppliers. It is also uncertain due to many factors. Some of these factors are demand for products, Delay in shipping by transporter, etc. Upstreaming activities in Supply chain management includes mining of raw material by the supplier. The focus should be on providing the raw material as quickly and efficiently as possible. Transporting is also considered an upstreaming activity.
