What is your opinion of using quality of life measurements?

Quality of Life measures are focused on measuring the level of physical and mental happiness of an individual. Under these broad categories there exist more narrow categories like food, living conditions, health, entertainment etc, under physical well-being and mental peace, lack of stress, feeling comfortable etc.

From a healthcare perspective, quality of life refers to the health of the patient and his/her satisfaction with the services received from the healthcare providers.

In my opinion, quality of life is a measure that encompasses wide range of factors to arrive at an individual's well-being; as long as the results are accurate, they do provide useful information to assess an individual or a group. The common factors that negatively impact an group's quality of life can be noted to focus on improving the same.

However, it is difficult to focus at an individual level as every person is different and the perception fo quality of life especially, mental well-being differs from person ton person.
