Answer #1

Answer: - Given data

Bus dispatch for every 5 minutes

Average travelling time is 45 minutes

a) Inorder to find how many buses travel to and from airport we neeed to calculate the Throughput rate and Throughput time.

Where Throughput rate = Total time / average travel time

= 60 minutes / 5 minutes = 12 buses per hour

Throughput time = average travel time / total time = 45 minutes / 60 minutes = 0.75 hour

Number of Buses travel to and from airport = Throughput rate * Throughput time =12 * 0.75 = 9 buses

So, Number of Avis buses = 9 buses

b) No, she is incorrect because reducing the dispatching time to 1 minute there will be no change in the average travelling time. So, Average traveling time is 45 minutes.
