Ideal partner profile is set of desirable qualities capabilities and attributes that are essential to have in a business partner under given conditions. The choice of ideal person as a partner is different for different firms, and depend upon a number of factors such as market coverage, financial capabilities, past records of doing business in the region, strategic assets, ability to know the pulse of the target market, personal contacts, trustworthiness, creditworthiness and commitment towards the company among other factors.

These factors are general in nature and their relative importance with respect to one another depends on industry, business environment and company's own strategic market position.
