E-commerce marketplace :

E-commerce marketplace is a multichannel marketplace where everything from marketing to sales require coordination with other channels of the organization. For instance : you place the order via call or the order gets received by a third party as the information gets processed by a market operator and sent to warehouse (may be third party vendors) which is then forwarded to packaging department and then to delivery department. Sales and marketing channels coordinate to provide the attractive deals on the products to increase profits or increase sales depending upon the needs. Multichannel is used to avoid any confusion as activities of each channel is separated, though it connects each other only by coordination making the same an essential element.
