It helps in aircrafts to locate a dimension from the surface to earth. It consists of latitude, longitude and elevation – a three dimensional positions. The GPS system has been installed in every aircraft.

Here are some points that helps GPS to control air traffic as follows:

(1) The flight can be delayed in anytime in any airports. Some planes may come on time. So, it helps in knowing the current position of the plane.
(2) There must be a two-way digital link should be associated, so that helps in knowing the position of the plane through GPS.
(3) It helps to show the few meters to millimeters depending in the distance.
(4) The best thing about GPS is very cost effective, shows accurate results and helps in determining the locations of points.
(5) The GPS helps to locate and to navigate, receive information, access services and helps to share information from your current location in case if needed or else in an emergency.
(6) It helps in showing bad whether using GPS that helps every flight by saving their flight time and helps to prevent aircraft from diverting in bad weather.
(7) The pilots will have better knowing about air traffic and climate information’s.
