Should a manager or managers be held either legally or ethically responsible for harm that is done to another employee when an employee becomes violent? Does it make any difference if the manager(s) suspected that that particular employee had problems, although he or she did not know for certain of those violent behavior propensities?
In such conditions no body is responsible because no body knows any body behavior or when he or she behaves violently. As a working professional I think that ethically a manager should have a responsibility to try to protect their employees? from being assaulted by another violent employee. The above case stated that managers should be active in identifying , correcting and solving the employees misbehaviour. Managers should engaged with their employees so that they have a realistic assessment of work place culture possible.
managers should plan to hire security company to provide this protection to the employees. It is really tough to identify an employee who is violent in behavior unless that individual has expressed their feeling or has a background of violence behavior.
