Answer #1

Interest-based negotiations also known as integrative negotiations, an approach which is preferable in situations that require a balanced negotiations. This is more balanced than other approaches due to the process followed in this approach. Both the parties on the opposite sides of the table ( I.e. management and union ) takes a more collaborative approach to finding solutions that benefits both the parties ,hence the name "win-win". It is a very common practice in certain situations in which there's a strong understanding between both the parties. Yes ,it is more balanced since both parties get to present their needs and opinions and other party tries to acknowledge them.
