A contingency plan is a plan invent for an outcome other than in the expected plan. Contingency plans are often invented by government or businesses.

Contingency planning is developing responses in advance for various situations that might impact business. Every business is the possibility of situation that impact the business. If the response to the situation is poor, it might be impact of the future business, such as loss of customer, loss of data and loss of business. A good contingency plan should include any event that might interupt operations. Some areas include in the plan. Such as natural disaster like hurricane, earthquake, and fires. Personals such as death of senior manager or union members going to strik. Mis management like theft, neglect of critical duties.

In the contucontin planning process we have to analyse the risks, that need to list out all the possible events which interrupt the operation. And then it could be determined the impact risk, list all the possible events that could interrupt operation. Give each one a ranking from 1 to 10 based on the impact of operations. Multiply the impact ranking that could be useful to get total score for each possible event. use the scores to rank the events. Begin working in the highest score first in contiguous planning and work down the list.

Crisis action planning is the time sensitive development of plans in response to an imminent incidents, for development, employment, of federal resources in support of state, tribal and local needs. Crisis action planers base their plan on the situations, that exist on the time planning occurs. Crisis action planning follows prescribed crisis action procedures to formulate and implement an effective response within the time frame permitepe by crisis.

Examples of crisis action planning are, incident action plan, national support plan, housing plan power restoration plan.
