Answer #1

The product function of health care is excellent. Patients are provided healthcare facilities without any delays. Some of the hospitals still require development and enhancement but most of the hospitals are well maintained. The doctors are certified and experienced. The have expertise in their specialization. Medicines are of good quality. Government hospitals do not charge any fees for treatment. Whereas, private hospitals charge very high fees from patients for treatment.

Comparing the healthcare system with expectations, there must be more beds in hospitals. Due to the corona pandemic, there have been shortage of beds in hospitals. Many patients had to treat themselves at their homes and were not under the supervision of doctors. Private hospitals are charging a very high fees for corona treatment. Hospitals refuse many of the covid-19 patients to admit them due to shortage of beds. More development must be made in healthcare systems to deal with such pandemics.

Healthcare managers must deal with three components of healthcare delivery: access to care, quality of care and the cost of care. With the move to a value based care model from fee for service, there is a stronger connection between quality of care and payment. Organizations that accredit healthcare facilities such as The Joint Commission focus on quality standards.   These organizations may also hold what is called “deemed status”.
