Answer #1

Operational Definition: It is defined as a clear, unambiguous, and concise interpretation of a measure and how exactly are those measures are obtained.

It is necessary for measurement of things in real world for the following reasons:

  • Every measurement in the world should be done on the basis of same criteria so that all results can be compared on the same grounds
  • To get a clear measure and criterias.

For example, if 20 people are going to measure their weights, the criterias must be defined like whether all those are measuring weights with shoes on and the units in which they are measuring.
