Crude rate-
Crude rate is a summary rate. It is summary rate of actual number of observed events in a population overa specified period of time.
Example- No of people that died due to cancer in year 2017.
Specific rate-
It refers to rate for a specific segment/group of population.
Example- Category wise (age,sex etc) deaths due to cancer
Adjusted rate-
It is used to permit comparison of rates of population which differs in structure
Example- middle age group compared with old age group.
