KEY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN RIGID AND FLEXIBLE CULTURES:

Rigid cultures are also called as organic structure. Larger organisations and the older ones have rigid structure in the organisation. Traditional organisations are following rigid structure. In rigid the control is centralised. Standard policies and rules are framed and followed by the people. Here there is no discussion, idea gathering etc; Employment relationship in the rigid organisation are centralised and standertised. Here the jobs are differentiated and there the employees are tend to resist the changes in the organisational environment.

In flexible culture it is vice versa of rigid. The control id decentalise. The top management discuss any issues and get ideas from different people in the organisation. They use web and other technology to update and also upgrade the orgasisation for the effective utilisation of all valuable resources in the organisation. People in flexible culture can easily accepts and adopts the changes implemented in the orgasisation.

These differences struck me to know about the differences in cultures in the organisation structure.
