Do you think the current popularity of teams in organizations is a fad or a fundamental shift in the way we manage?

The popularity of the teams reflects the basic change in our society and our government, not just the way we manage organisations. This is an opinion. In history, a democratic government style is more common than ever. Teams in organizations are a more democratic style of management.Human ties tend to be more inclusive than in the past. Families are less independent and less patriarchal. Teachers and educators are far less hierarchical than in the past. People want more respect and empowerment to be treated and tolerate an authoritarian management style. Teams in organisations, at least in most industrialized companies, are not just fads, but are a necessity.
