Describe the presentation and why it was effective or ineffective.
The business presentation that have won my interest despite of these many years is, was and would be the Apple music event 2001 where Steve Jobs introduced their renown product iPod. A business presentation is a platform where the entrepreneur presents or communicates their business ideas and the products they wish to introduce before the audience who might be the prospective customers and the advocates of the brand or the media.
And the major attraction for me with respect to this presentation was mainly the way Steve Jobs dressed as he does for all his presentations and how he maintained his screen. All you could see was only the information and the data. The opening about music which was the major factor addressed here, like any one of us he also claimed that Apple loves music and to do something you love. This very note is enough for attracting our attention for the rest of the minutes of the presentation as we would be keen what they are going to do with music.
Back in those times, the players for music were very big and not handy. And here Steve Jobs did not put in his rivals in the picture and instead it was the products that he put there. He brought us the cost we were incurring for a song in a simple and relative term. And eventually he made us understand our problem and the only solution for that which has not been introduced in the market year by anyone.
Now to show how handy the product is he simply related the same to a deck of cards which can be easily understood by any one of us as it is a common leisure we all pool into.
With this he made us see the solution for all this the new iPod. And as he claimed, this again created a revolution. Another major highlight in the scene or presentation is that, there are many other launch programs that Steve Jobs did for Apple where he presented many other core and revolutionary products of Apple, iBook, Mac an iPhone which changed the game, but here it was a simple iPod which was a teeny tiny thing and in a span of 9 minutes he wooed the people and their mind.
And for me this defines a business presentation.
