Top-level management is the first level of management which comprise of senior-level executives who hold the most responsibility. These include Chief operating officer (COO), Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), President, or Vice President. Thus, a company’s top management team is generally composed of managers with the title of vice-president and above.
Top-level managers are responsible for making the primary decisions within a company. They participate in policy formulation, strategic planning, etc. and focuses on all elements that is important for survival, stability and growth of the organization. Thus, top level of management would be more concerned with designing the overall structure of an organization.
