  1. Advantages and disadvantages of using teams in the workplace
    a. The advantages of using teams in the workplace are increased productivity through minimizing individual weaknesses. This means, while working as a team, the members collectively contribute towards achieving the team's target. They compensate for each other's weaknesses and multiply their strengths. However, using teams has certain disadvantages such as the starting of team building activity requires conflicts resolution and proper management of team . Also, the manager has to put in more efforts to reduce the friction between the team members and inculcate the spirit of team work and co-ordination among all. This is a cumbersome effort.

  2. Key issues in group dynamics
    a. Group dynamics is a system of behavioral and psychological forces which are active within a group. These impact the ultimate productivity and success of the team. When communication between team members is good, the overall strength of the team is higher. The key issues in group dynamics are communication among members, social skills possessed and exhibited by individual members with respect to each other and their ability to positively interact with others and accept other's opinions and suggestions.
    b. How strong is the interaction between members and how do they react to each other's suggestions and opinions?
  3. Guidelines for collaboration
    a. In order to collaborate certain guidelines need to be followed. Firstly, listening power - the members must develop listening power in order to actively listen each other and the project manager. Secondly, they must develop interpersonal skills which would enable them to be more interactive with other team members. Thirdly, their focus must be on achieving the team target. Therefore, they must do everything in their power and help each other in respective tasks so that the overall organizational target can be achieved.
    b. How effectively do the team members collaborate and communicate?
  4. Technologies for collaboration
    a. This includes the technologies used for collaboration. In order to collaborate, the members must co-operate and communicate with each other. They use either meetings and emails as a way to collaborate with each other. Else, use technology such as whats-app group to be constantly communicating even if located at different locations. Also, project management softwares are being extensively used in order to collaborate with team members spread across distances, for example in case of international projects and collaborative partnering.
